Last fall, Vlad, the wacky Russian car experimenter who hosts YouTube channel Garage 54 ENG, buried three cars, as one does when one has a car YouTube channel. Those cars were a Lada 1200, a Toyota Corsa, and what appears to be a late 1980s Audi 100. Here’s what it looked like when he dug these cars up one year later.
Garage 54 ENG buried three cars in a field last year using a giant tractor, and now in this new video—after lots of heavy rain over the past year—the channel’s team uses another giant tractor to dig out the three cars. It does not go well:
Thanks to some markers that the team placed last year, finding where the vehicles had been buried doesn’t look too difficult, but the extraction process ends up resulting in a Lada with its front end ripped off, its roof collapsed, and its trunk squished.
Vlad and company take a bit better care of the Audi, though its roof also caves in, much of its glass is shattered, and its front frame rail is yanked off. The Toyota’s faces a similar pathetic fate.
Frankly, all three cars wind up structurally ruined in the end, and their interiors are filled with gallons mud. But that’s okay, because despite this, Vlad says he plans to attempt to fire all of them up.
It’ll be interesting to see how much water and dirt made its way into those motors. This should be good.
