Microsoft introduced a new Wireless Display Adapter on Wednesday. It should be the perfect accessory for Windows 10 owners looking to wirelessly mirror their screen on a monitor or TV.
The new Wireless Display Adapter uses Miracast technology, just like the first one, but has a few new tricks up its sleeves. For one, it looks different, with a new form factor. Microsoft also says it boosted performance, so there should be less latency – or screen lag – as you mirror or move apps from one screen to another. Speaking of screens, you can set it up to use a TV or monitor as a primary display or as a secondary one that complements the main screen on your phone, tablet or laptop.
Pre-orders for the new Wireless Display Adapter begin today. It launches on March 1 when it will be available from Amazon, Best Buy and the Microsoft Store.
