Here’s a rundown of hires, exits, and promotions from the past week. Are we missing anyone? Let us know.
- A handful of technology bankers departed Credit Suisse for RBC Capital Markets, Bloomberg reported Tuesday:
- Kirk Kaludis, who had been Credit Suisse’s Americas head of technology banking, will be RBC’s global head of technology investment banking. Owen Bittinger, who had been co-head for global software and infrastructure for technology investment banking, will be the co-head for global software, and Federico Acabbi will join as a director focused on software.
- Floriana Scarlato, a longtime Credit Suisse executive who was most recently head of compliance for Swiss Universal Bank, a member of SUB’s management committee, and a Credit Suisse executive board member, is stepping down from her roles, Credit Suisse announced Tuesday.
- Farzin Azarm, a managing director who led international trading and sales trading at Credit Suisse, is also departing the firm, he announced Tuesday on LinkedIn.

- David Stolzar rejoined the firm for the third time to bolster Credit Suisse’s FIG offerings, Insider reported Thursday. Stolzar will start on July 19 as Americas head of specialty finance, and he will be based in New York and report to head of FIG Americas Jim Spencer. He spent most of his career at Credit Suisse, apart from a stint at Marathon Asset Management from 2007-2009, and he most recently left the firm in December 2020.
- Markus Ruetimann was named the new chief operating officer of Credit Suisse Asset Management, Reuters reported Tuesday. Reutimann, a former UBS executive, will report to asset management head Ulrich Koerner, who joined the firm in March.

Bank of America promoted Sumeet Chabria to COO of global tech and operations, Insider reported this week. Chabria will maintain his role as head of global business services while serving as the COO Cathy Bessant’s de-facto chief of staff, helping to run her centralized technology leadership team of nine.
- Raymond James hired managing director David Barcus to lead its high-yield capital markets practice. NYC-based Barcus was previously leading the North American high-yield business at BBVA Securities.
- Private equity firm Crosspoint Capital Partners hired two new managing directors, it announced on Wednesday.
- Boston, MA-based managing director Laura Grattan joins the firm from Thomas H. Lee Partners, where she led buyout and growth transactions in the tech and healthcare IT.
- Dan Stanko, based in Menlo Park, CA, joins Crosspoint from middle-market private equity shop HGGC, where he was a partner focused on software investments.
- Barclays announced this week that it poached 11-year JPMorgan veteran Peter Ward to head its markets electronic trading and digital strategy. Ward, who will join the European bank in September, leads futures and options trading at JPMorgan.
- Stephen Troutner, Wells Fargo’s head of small business banking stepped down in June to focus on his health and his family, Insider reported. It is unclear who will replace Troutner.
- Deutsche Bank is expanding its international private-banking division in the Americas with seven new recruits, according to a company statement to Insider.
- Chris Zias joins as a managing director, Jeremy Levine as a director, and Lindsay McCracken as a vice president, all from Bank of America. Jay Yost joins as a director from Citibank. All four of those appointments will be based in New York.
- Rahul Varshneya, another new hire, joins as a director from Bank of America and will be based in San Francisco.
- The additional two hires will be based in Latin America: Guilherme Faria Gradel joins as a director on the Brazil team from Goldman Sachs Wealth Management, where he was previously based in Geneva. Chris Roca, also joined as a director coming from Citibank, and will cover the Mexican ultra-high-net-worth market from New York City.
- Private equity firm PermirahiredMark Garrett as a senior adviser for its technology investments. Garrett most recently served as chief financial officer at Adobe, a role he left in 2018.
