Leica has made its name as a top-notch cameramaker, crafting cameras built to travel and capture the world with you, and you can take its new camera practically anywhere. Leica recently announced the X-U, a new shock proof and water-resistant camera that’s capable of taking dunks up to 15 meters for up to an hour.
The Leica X-U features a 23mm f/1.7 prime lens, which is equivalent to the 35mm format. It also sports multiple control dials that will give you the ultimate control for an ideal shot, a 3-inch LCD display for viewing the photos you’ve just shot and a first-class 16MP APS-C format CMOS sensor that Leica promises will deliver “extraordinary brilliance, natural color rendition, and exceptional resolution of the finest details, even in low light.”
