Here we are. We have our final two phones: The Nexus 6P and the iPhone 6S Plus. Personally, I think both these phones great and I’d be happy with either as my daily driver. By my opinion means very little in this poll. After all it you, the fans of these phones, that determine “Phone of the year.”

Nexus 6P
Finding the right balance is a near-impossible task. In cooking, neglecting to use spices can leave a dish bland and without personality; add too much and you ruin the meal entirely. The same thing can happen in mobile.
I’ve used and tested a lot of really great phones this year, but none have struck that perfect balance between design, speed, battery life and software. Some come close, but there’s always that one thing that keeps a phone from being The One.
The Nexus 6P is different—or comes about as close to perfection as I’ve seen. Apple iPhone 6S Plus
Apple doesn’t typically change up the hardware design — the actual look of the iPhone — when it makes the “toc” upgrades between major changes. In other words, we didn’t see a huge bump in design from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4s, or the iPhone 5 to the iPhone 5s.
