Just days after OnePlus founder Carl Pei promised that the OnePlus One would get its Marshmallow update “very soon,” the release is now making its way into the hands of users with a long list of new features and improvements.
This Cyanogen OS 13 update comes with build number ZNH0EAS26M, and it includes all of Marshmallow’s major upgrades, like Doze, Google Now on Tap, and Android’s new permissions system.
User can also look forward to some changes specific to Cyanogen OS, like a brand new SMS/MMS app with Quick Reply, and CM-protected apps.
Like all OnePlus software updates, this one will be rolling out to your One over-the-air, and you’ll receive a notification when it’s ready to download. Bear in mind, however, that OnePlus warns it will be a staged rollout, “so only some of you (random) will get it at first.”
Providing all goes well and there are no hiccups, the update should then be made available to a larger number of OnePlus One handsets, before rolling out to all of those still in use.
Don’t worry if you don’t see this update right away, then; unless you’re really lucky, you’ll need to wait a little while longer — but rest assured it’s on its way now.
