What time is it? Time for a price reduction (ha!). Sorry for the lame lede, but I just wanted some fun way to tell you that Pebble on Tuesday dropped prices for the Time and Time Round, which are now down to $149.99 and $199.99, respectively; that’s a $50 reduction for both devices. Not bad!
Pebble said the price drop is meant to make its devices more accessible to people around the world.
In addition to today’s reduction in prices, Pebble shared some stats regarding its push into activity tracking and said that over 90 percent of Time-series owners have used Health, which launched last December. The company said Health will get more improvements in the future, including insights for running activities, a dedicated Health section in the Pebble smartphone app and more.
Finally, Pebble said the Time Round will now be available at retail locations across the UK and EU, including Amazon, Media Markt and FNAC. And if you were unlucky enough to purchase a Time or Time Round ahead of today’s announcement, you might be in for a “price adjustment;” Pebble says the cutoff for this offer is Jan. 21, 2016, and requests for a price adjustment must be submitted by April 1, 2016.
