If you want to mix gaming and portability, typically you’re looking at a big, bulky laptop that’s… portable but not always practical. Razer has been working to change that over the past couple of years, and its latest ultraportable gaming machine is the Razer Blade Stealth. It’s here at CES 2016, so of course we went to check it out.
The Razer Blade Stealth features a 12.5-inch display in either 3480 x 2160-pixel or 2560 x 1440-pixel resolutions, a sexy colorful backlit keyboard, an aluminum body, up to an Intel Core i7 processor, up to 512GB of storage, up to 8GB of RAM, ThunderBolt 3 and more. Alone, it’s not perfect for gaming, but that’s where the Razer Core comes in.
Plug the Razer Blade Stealth into the Razer Core with desktop GPU and, suddenly, your 12.5-inch portable laptop has the muscle of a full-fledged desktop. Boom. No need to carry around a bulky 17-inch gaming machine. Sure, you can’t game very well without the Razer Core, but your back will thank you.
