Razer has won fans over by becoming a company for the community, and it’s bringing that spirit to a physical location in San Francisco.
The Irvine, CA-based company on Monday revealed plans to open a concept store aimed at showing off its different wares, from its famous headphones to its powerful laptops. What’s more, when the store opens to the public on Saturday, May 21, the company will hold giveaways for t-shirts, mice, keyboards, and more.
The new store—Razer’s first U.S.-based location—will be at the Westfield San Francisco Centre and cover 1,300 square feet over two levels. “Visitor’s can experience Razer’s most advanced gaming products hands-on, from systems, peripherals, audio and broadcast products to software, apparel and gear,” Razer said in a release on Monday.
In addition to product displays, Razer is also setting up 20 gaming stations, with weekly gaming events planned for the community. What Razer’s hoping to do is create a place where fans and other looky-loos can come to relax and unwind. And, of course, spend money.
Razer has already opened a few concept stores overseas, saying reception has been overwhelmingly positive. The company chose San Francisco as its next location because of the city’s reputation as the tech hub of the world, calling it a “unique global epicenter of creativity, technology and entertainment.”
The new store is at the Westfield San Francisco Centre, which is located at 865 Market St., San Francisco, CA.
