After taking off from Hawaii at 6:30am, pilot Bertrand Piccard reported that he felt great after a day of travel, and after a total 62 hours of flight time, he successfully landed at Moffett Airfield, California.
The solar-powered aircraft is working on circumnavigating the planet, and was grounded 9 months ago after its record breaking trip from Japan to Hawaii.

Now, pilot Andre Borschberg, will take over for the next leg of the journey, from California to New York. From there, there’ll figure out the next destination, based on weather and what they’ve learned about the aircraft, as they continue on their trip to Abu Dabi, where they first took off in March 2015.
