Xbox One and PC gamers take note: the gorgeous – if somewhat shallow Star Wars Battlefront is joining EA Access next week, on Tuesday, December 13.

Electronic Arts confirmed yesterday that the game will join the likes of the Mass Effect trilogy, tons of EA Sports games, and a whole stack of Plants vs. Zombies games on the service. EA confirmed in response to a fan question that Battlefront will be joining EA’s PC-based service, Origin Access as well. Sony chose to pass on the service when EA pitched it for PlayStation 4.
EA Origin is an inexpensive way to check out this gorgeous game
The service is available for $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. Like Xbox Live Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus games, EA Access games install and play on your console or PC, rather than being streamed as with PlayStation Now. It’s a pretty solid way to get access to a whole bunch of EA games if you’re looking to check out a game like Battlefront or go on a Mass Effect binge now that the whole trilogy is backwards compatible on Xbox One.
