Tesla is opening a new showroom in New York City on Friday, but we got a sneak peek of the new store early.
Here’s a closer look at the new facility.
The new showroom is located at 860 Washington Street in the Meatpacking District in Downtown Manhattan. The area is known for its trendy restaurants, nightclubs, and high-end stores.

The new location replaces Tesla’s Chelsea location and provides a lot more space. The new showroom is 10,900 square feet.

There’s also a Model S prominently placed in the front of the store.

There’s no Model 3 on display at the location yet, but one should be arriving in the next few months.

But you will also notice that the company is making a big push to promote its energy products in the store.

Almost an entire wall in the showroom is dedicated to showcasing Tesla’s Powerwall and solar panels.

There’s also a seating area where customers can chat with a sales representative. Customers can learn more about Tesla products and place an order.

Test cars are kept in the back of the showroom. Customers can make an appointment online to test drive one of the cars kept onsite. We spotted three Model S test cars and two Model X SUVs.

There’s also a coffee bar in the back of the showroom where customers can get a drink while shopping. The area doubles as a bar whenever the company hosts an event for Tesla owners.

The new showroom will be open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
