If you’re unwilling to dish out over $170,000 for the 590 horsepower Maserati Levante Trofeo, the new 2019 Maserati Levante GTS could be your 550 hp compromise.
Maserati unveiled the new Levante GTS at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier today. It boasts a Ferrari twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8,which will be assembled by the god-hands of Ferrari in Maranello, and is tuned to punch out 550 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque.
It comes with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and is all-wheel drive setup to be biased toward the rear-wheels but capable of sending as much as 50 percent of power to the front. There’s also a torque vectoring system and a limited-slip diff.
It’s designed to slide between the S model and range-topping Trofeo, and is priced at $121,475 with deliveries starting in October. I’ve got to tell you, I can’t be upset at the prospect of more Ferrari V8s in driveways, no matter the form they take.
