The state of car colors in America is bleak. Despite some automakers offering a decent color or two, U.S. streets are overrun by black, white, gray and silver cars. But the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro is here to highlight those black and white streets like required reading for school, with Blinding Yellow as a factory color.
Alright, the color is actually called “Shock,” but both are accurate: It’s shockingly, blindingly yellow.
Chevy announced the color on Tuesday, saying it would be out for all of the avid Paul Menard fans in this world to purchase in early 2019. The press release also talked about the car’s “expanded portfolio” of “accessories” and “performance parts” like a new spoiler, performance seats, brake upgrades and carbon-fiber components for the sole purpose of owners talking about how their cars have carbon fiber, but who cares about all of that?
This vehicle comes in highlighter yellow, from the factory, without any expensive wrap jobs or attempts to color it in with an actual highlighter.
Highlighter yellow! From the factory!

Perhaps there is hope for this world after all, or perhaps it’s just the warm glow coming from that highlighter-yellow Camaro that’s making us think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
Either way, the world is a better place with this car in it.
