The new year is upon us here at TechnoBuffalo, and that seems like a good time to bring you the latest installment in our State of the Site series.
2015 was another great year for all of us. Pageviews hit record highs as well as our unique visitors. Our YouTube channel crossed 1 million subscribers. And overall things seemed to continue flow as they always have with things going well.
As with any business it would be easy for us to say, “Lets do more of the same!” and continue on our merry way, but we’ve never taken the safe or easy path, and that is our same plan for this new year. Throughout this video you will hear Jon, Mark and Ron discuss how we plan on fighting stagnation with our videos, and I’m here to tell you that is the same mantra we are adopting for the site and the written portion of the company. We don’t want to get bored with what we do, and we certainly don’t want our readers and fans to feel that way either.
During CES earlier this month, we had the largest gathering ever of our staff. While not everyone could be there, it was still the vast majority, and we used that opportunity to discuss many new initiatives. There are many changes we would like to make this year both from what you can see and behind the scenes. We aren’t ready to announce several of them, but there is already work beginning on things you will see over the course of this year. Some will happen sooner than others, but you will definitely see some changes coming to TechnoBuffalo, and we feel they are all positive ones.
To put your mind at ease, no, the primary focus of TechnoBuffalo is not changing. We will continue to strive to bring you all of the news and reviews and you’ve come to expect from us, but we may simply change the way in which we present them to you. A good example of what I mean? The video at the top of this post is done in 360 format. It’s the same basic concept as before with our State of the Site videos, just presented in a fresh way.
Stay tuned throughout this year to see what we have planned, we think you’re going to like it.
