It is here: the 1050-horsepower drift Corvette. It is the power car. It is the car of great strength. It is ready to tear shit up.
This is not the only drift Corvette. This is not the first drift Corvette. But it is a new build coming to Formula Drift, put together by one of the series’ most intense drivers Matt Field.
He’s one of the more “checkers or wreckers” drivers in FD, and if anyone is going to push the limits of his car, its components or himself, it’s Field. His supercharged V8 Nissan 240SX was one of the most hardcore cars in FD, and seeing Field take that crazy power and setup from an old worn out 1990s Nissan and translate it into a C6 Corvette has a lot of potential.
That’s why this build is so interesting. This isn’t just some random dude making a Corvette because it’s easy. This is one of the most intense driving setups in drifting getting much more legit.
