SEGA has released a small but revealing batch of screenshots that give a look into Valkyria: Azure Revolution’s protagonists’ home country, the Jutland Kingdom. While the screenshots appear to be bleak and unpopulated, developer Media.Vision says that is just because they come from an early build with no characters included.
The final build will feature a much larger population and look more like an actual city. For now, though, just enjoy the architecture.
Valkyria: Azure Revolution is a spin-off pseudo-sequel of the popular Valkyria Chronicles franchise. Initial reactions to the new battle system and character designs have been somewhat mixed since SEGA first revealed them, but very few complaints have been geared towards the stunning graphics engine powering it.
So far, the game is only scheduled for a Japan release on the PlayStation 4, and many have already played it thanks to a demo being included in the Valkyria Chronicles Remaster for the PlayStation 4.
No mention of a North American release has been made by SEGA yet.
