Verizon announced this week that its tablet users can now take advantage of video calls through the Verizon Messages application, a free option that has previously been available only on smartphones.
Verizon Messages is only available to Verizon customers, but it does allow you to continue the conversation through SMS/MMS to any wireless customer in the U.S., even those not on Verizon, and is able to sync the conversation across various platforms. Verizon also used the launch to remind customers that they can send eGift cards this Father’s Day from more than 50 brands using Verizon Messages. Supported retailers include Starbucks, Amazon, Bass Pro Shops and others, Verizon explained.
Verizon tablet owners should find the video calling feature now, just make sure you have the most recent Verizon Messages application first.
