Virgin America makes insane shoes that sport a display, Wi-Fi hotspot… and mood lighting

Virgin America airlines made a splash in the United States with its comfortable cabins, mood lightning, Wi-Fi and more. Now those features are making their way into… shoes?

Yep. The kicks above are a pair of Virgin America First Class shoes, the only one of their kind, that are available in an auction. eBay Bidding starts at $1,300 and proceeds go to Soles4Souls.

The shoes sport their own display (too small for watching anything, in my opinion), can serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot with a data plan, offer USB charging for your phone and, of course, a steel buckle strap. They were hand-crafted in Milan and, like Virgin America, feature mood lightning. Of course.

The listing says these shoes will arrive “in a custom plexiglass display case with LED lightning.” Me? I’d wear them.
