Watch a Hellcat-Stuffed Toyota Prius Smoke a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon on the Drag Strip

The 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is terrifying, no matter the circumstances. It was made to be a drag-strip nightmare, and it is—as far as cars straight from the factory are concerned. The Toyota Prius is also terrifying, when stuck behind it in traffic while in a hurry.

But this is no regular Prius.

Not only is this Prius stuffed with an 800-HP supercharged Dodge SRT Hellcat engine, but it left a Demon so far in the dust on the drag strip over the weekend at Dodge’s Roadkill Nights in Michigan, the Demon’s driver probably needed glasses to keep the little poser in sight.

The stock Demon’s biggest limitation, when put up against other cars, is that it was built to be a drag machine from the factory. Its downside is that someone can come along in a more heavily tuned car—like a Prius Hellcat, or a tuned version of the Demon itself—and make it look like it isn’t fast enough to make someone feel like their soul has separated from their body. (It is.)

A group called American Racing Headers put the Hellcat engine in this Prius, which the group said it tuned up to have 800 HP at the wheels compared to the Hellcat’s factory-rated 707 HP. The group also swapped out the Prius’ factory transmission for a six-speed manual, and put in a custom chassis.

There don’t appear to be any times from Roadkill Nights, but Dodge rates the Demon’s quarter mile as 9.65 seconds at 140 mph. But while there aren’t any times, it isn’t hard to tell which car won this battle—a Prius, over a Demon.

Armageddon? Armageddon.
