If they must exist in order to bolster the enthusiast offerings, then so be it. At least make them good and fun to drive. That being said, I have extremely high expectations for the 2019 Porsche Macan because it is a Porsche.
This is the refresh, so in terms of aesthetic changes, the only big one is that the tail lights are now joined in the middle by a big red bar. It’s actually a nice touch. And the Miami Blue is awesome.
The 2019 Macan has a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that’s good for 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. That’s all mated to a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch. Top speed is 142 mph and the zero to 60 sprint happens in a claimed 6.3 seconds.

But besides that, I can’t tell you much more about it because of the driving impressions embargo that we’ve agreed to so that Porsche would let me drive the thing. Previous Porsche products that I’ve driven have all been great. I can only hope the Macan follows suit.
