We all know the textbook answers for what makes a car great when we hit the market, but we don’t talk enough about the intangibles. Y’know, the things that just make you feel better about one car over another. The tiniest, most minuscule details that can sway you one way or another. It’s time those details get the credit they deserve.
I like my daily driver to be “cute,” which can be a difficult thing to actually define. That generally means it’s tiny and low to the ground, looks something like a baby shoe, and is a very bright color (preferably red). As a Short Person, “cute” also means I can actually, like, use my car. I don’t want to have to use a footstool to get my groceries out of the trunk or feel like I’m driving a yacht. It is very endearing to me to be able to use my vehicle the way it is intended.
But what’s the most unique thing y’all look for when you buy a car? Do you prefer your cars to have faces—and if so, angry or smiling ones? Do you need your gas tank to be on the right side versus the left? Do you just need to get a warm, fuzzy feeling the first time you climb behind the wheel? I want to know. As tiny as these details might seem, they can make a big difference when it comes to actually choosing a car to purchase.
