April 1 is always a divisive day. Some people love the jokes, others find the day to be a tedious minefield. I think, though, that we can all get behind CD Projekt Red’s contribution.
Geralt’s trusty steed, Roach, is both one of The Witcher 3‘s best features and the source of many of its funniest glitches.
It’s with that in mind that CD Projekt Red introduces the Roach download pack, a not-real download that focuses on Roach, turning the horse into a talking character with all kinds of commentary to offer on the goings-on around him. Many of the aforementioned glitches, the video suggests, were the direct result of intentional development work, making Roach an unexpectedly popular character.
With this DLC, Roach is now a character you can talk with, one who seems very concerned about how Geralt spends his nights.
The worst part of this not being real is that the sticker at the end isn’t real, either.
