Xiaomi has a big product event set for next week, and the leaks are picking up pace ahead of the official unveiling. We already know to expect a new Mi Max smartphone and a Mi Band 2 wearable. Now we’re getting a detailed look at the rumored devices.
The Mi Max appears to be a mid-range phablet with a display measuring around 6 inches across. It may also pack 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera (5-megapixels in front) and a Snapdragon 650 processor. The design looks pretty sleek for a low-end device, with thin bezels and a metal frame around the edges.
Meanwhile, the Mi Band 2 could be a pretty big upgrade for Xiaomi’s popular $15 fitness tracker. The new model may add a pop-out display instead of the old LED lights. That should make it possible to view notifications on your wrist. The price is expected to stay low, coming in at just 99 yuan (about $15).
Xiaomi’s also prepping its first full-fledged smartwatch. The device could offer a round display with a metal design and new in-house software. We’re not expecting the watch to make an appearance at this upcoming event, but it’s possible the company could surprise us with an early glimpse.
