I think the Dodge Viper (RIP) V10s, all versions of them, are some of the coolest engines ever made and nothing anybody can say will make me think otherwise. You can stick one in your lawnmower, or your 1968 Camaro, and you won’t hear a peep out of me.

The latter is exactly what’s going on here. Forum user Hunter Agee is putting a Viper V10 into a 1968 Camaro SS. He’s aware that what he’s doing could be considered sacrilegious, but it’s his car and he can do whatever he wants with it. Also, he painted the motor Chevy Orange.
The car has a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual and Hunter says that the aluminum oil pan was hand-built at home. He had to custom build the radiator support as well.

Viper engines have turned up in everything from pickups to motorcycles. Let’s do everything we can and put them in even more stuff.
