You may be surprised to hear that a Porsche 911 is extremely good at racing off road, even a sloppy muddy field in Eastern Michigan. As many stage rally racers found over the years, the extra weight of the engine slung out behind the rear axle is actually quite the boon when grip is limited. You can easily modulate the angle of the car through the corner with throttle and wildly whipping the steering wheel to compensate.
